Schuylkill Acts & Impacts…and YOU!


More than just an expedition…it’s an experience!

Schuylkill Acts & Impacts engages 15 students (3 from each county along the Schuylkill River Watershed) in a week-long service-learning program which includes a physical journey along the 120-mile Schuylkill River. The expedition highlights issues in the watershed and offers hands-on solutions to these problems.

In addition to a rigorous selection process that includes an essay and letter of recommendation,  each student is connected with an environmental organization in his/her area to continue their experience with the local watershed.

  • food supplies (1 day of  breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for 15 students)= $500
  • waterproof journals = $150

  • Sponsor one student = $1,000
