Project Flow 2016

Project FLOW (For the Love of Water)…

…is a premier program of the Fairmount Water Works.

…invites middle school students to explore water as artists, scientists, historians, and social activists.

…is a four-week summer program from June 27th to July 22nd, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. based at the Fairmount Water Works, 640 Water Works Drive Philadelphia. It is for students entering 8th or 9th grade in Fall 2016.

…engages students in understanding Philadelphia’s water system, its waterways and infrastructure to help foster a better understanding of urban watershed issues such as water quality, ecology, public health, and stormwater management.

…fosters long-term civic engagement and environmental stewardship

…balances hands-on experiential programs on site with many field trips opportunities such as boating, nature walks and camping.

…culminates in a final project that is both journalistic and artistic in focus.

…is a no-fee scholarship program; Students are chosen through a highly selective application process (if accepted, there is a suggested activities fee).
