DESCRIPTION:PWD manages and treats Philadelphia wastewater\, which includes the upkeep of more than 3\,000 miles of sewer. We use a system of combined sewers in half of our neighborhoods and a separate sewer system in the other half. \nThe Fairmount Water Works is coordinating three tours\, held the last Wednesday of the month\, from April through June. \nCome and enjoy a free behind-the-scenes tour of the Southeast Wastewater Treatment plant. The tour is free\, but pre-registration is required. \nThe group will meet at the Southeast Wastewater Treatment Plant\, 25 E. Pattison Avenue\, Philadelphia\, PA 19148. \nPlease note:  \n\nNo photography\nNo children under the age of 16 allowed\nAt least 10 registrants are required for a tour to take place. If the minimum number isn’t reached\, you will receive an email notice from the Fairmount Water Works\, at which time you will be able to register for a future tour.\n\nRegister here.
