DESCRIPTION:Individuals and entities who have been an integral part of the history and expansion of the Fairmount Water Works will join together to celebrate the site’s bicentennial! \nFor 200 years\, the Fairmount Water Works has been a leading symbol of technological innovation\, a cultural destination\, and leader in urban environmental education. \nWe invite you to join the celebration of this public-private partnership dedicated to a healthy Schuylkill River\, a vibrant Fairmount Park\, and to fostering stewardship of our precious shared water resources. The occasion will feature citations\, music\, media interviews\, a special “water toast”\, and tour of the Fairmount Water Works. \nThis is a free public event\, but registration is required. \n
