DESCRIPTION:In 1682\, William Penn placed our city where it is because of its proximity to the Schuylkill River.\n\nFrom the mid-1700s to the mid-1800s\, the Industrial Revolution radically changed the Schuylkill River with factories and mills built along its banks.\n\nThe environmental movement changed the river as radically as the Industrial Age changed our country. These impacts leave imprints.\nWalking the Schuylkill by photographer John Brady intends to capture and highlight those marks. \nWe invite all to learn more about this enlightening exhibit in our “Artist Walk & Talk” with John Brady!\nLearn more about the creative journey of this exhibit from the artist himself\, focusing on the History of the Schuylkill. Then\, join us for a walk along the Schuylkill River Trail. Attendees are encouraged to bring their cameras and take their own photos of the Schuylkill\, while learning more about John’s creative process. Bring your curiosity and your camera!
