DESCRIPTION:Continue your holiday festivities at the Fairmount Water Works! \nEnjoy a special tour of the historic landmark\, including a behind-the-scenes look at Kelly Pool. Eye-level with the Schuylkill\, you’ll walk the same underground paths as a royal family and Olympic swimmers. \nVisitors of all ages will be able to calculate the “water footprint” of their holiday meal during our “Setting the Thanksgiving Water Table” activity. Discover the many ways that water is a part of everything you eat\, drink\, and use throughout your Thanksgiving feast – from the mashed potatoes to the tablecloth – even the main attraction: the turkey! \nWe’ll even serve up some tasty seasonal treats\, including apple cider. \n(Note: The latter portion of the tour requires a hard hat\, and may not be accessible for all of our visitors. Sturdy closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended.)
