It’s shad season in Philadelphia! Join Fairmount Water Works in celebrating one of the Schuylkill River’s finest fish with a host of programs and events for Shad Weekend.

Hone your fishing skills at a fishing clinic, where a certified fishing instructor will teach basic techniques for fishermen of all ages. Stop in at Heart to Hearth Cookery at the Fairmount Water Works for a demonstration on fishnet-weaving and catching shad in traditional Native American culture.
