After a series of site evaluations and assessments of the Interpretive Center after Hurricane Ida, executive director Karen Young shares an update of the status of our Center and our newest exhibition POOL: A Social History of Segregation. Click here to read the full statement.

College Students

We offer general tours, enhanced lectures, lab programs and bus tours for college/university students related to Engineering, Public Health, Environmental Studies, Aquatic Biology and Chemistry, and Global Water and Sustainability.

The Interpretive Center is not offering in-person experiences at this time. If you are on our outdoor grounds, download the Urban Reveal app for a safe, socially-distant self-guided tour experience.

Also check out our Internships and Fellowships!

Please note: Fairmount Water Works does not have a designated lunch facility. However, packed lunches can be eaten outside (weather permitting), or groups can place orders in advance with Cosmic Catering (located at Lloyd Hall on Boathouse Row). Simply call 215.978.0900 and refer to the Cosmic Cafe Lunch Menu. (The cafe also has seating for groups up to 25.)
