Today’s the first anniversary of the spring 2014 flood.
Though we suffered extreme damage and loss, we were able to reopen the facility – with various contributions from supporters – in just about 3 months. We were able to replace resources and materials essential to our operations and implementing summer programs.
Meanwhile, our staff diligently worked outdoors (literally), and traveled from classroom to classroom visiting schools with scheduled field trips to the Fairmount Water Works.
Looking back, we are so proud of the progress made both physically and programmatically. There is so much more in store this year! Our free summer youth programs are filled to capacity, our special events are making an impact, we’re expanding our tour offerings, establishing new relationships, and strengthen existing partnerships.
We’re even more determined to keep our commitment to our vision of inspiring visitors of all ages, and encouraging them to become true stewards of our precious water resources.
Whether through generous giving, volunteering your time, purchasing from our online store – we are forever grateful for your ongoing support.
From the bottom of our hearts…THANK YOU!
