Churn, Ripple, Flow is a set of three pine boards (totaling 18 feet)representing 3 different pattern/flow formations on the water’s surface along the Schuylkill Banks. On this large, extended woodcarving was a line drawing of the flow of the river. Participants were invited to carve the wood using a chisel and mallet, with the objective to intently observe the patterns, reflections and currents upon the water’s surface.
